Considered part of the Denver Metro region, Arvada is located 10 miles northwest of Denver on I-70. With an estimated population of 103,225 in 2003, the city encompasses slightly more than 34 square miles. It is located close to the Denver International Airport, the downtown Denver business district, and a number of mountain communities. It is accessible from three major interstate highways, including I-70, I-76 and I-25.

The area was founded in the 1850s when gold was discovered in nearby Denver. The town was incorporated more than fifty years later in 1904. Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2004, this progressive city blends its hopes for the future with its rich past.

One of the city’s many attractions includes Historic Olde Town Arvada, which is a Colorado Main Street Community.
